About the Event
Hands Across The Water, Inc. and the UM School of Social Work Child Welfare Student Association are proud to present a community conversation with Rhonda Roorda, MA, award-winning author, consultant, speaker and thought leader on transracial adoption. She has appeared on CNN, ABC News and many other print, radio and TV outlets, and also worked as an advisor to the NBC TV show This Is Us.
Rhonda’s personal experience as a transracial adoptee has informed her entire body of work, and we invite anyone who has experienced transracial adoption either as a parent or adoptee, those considering transracial adoption, social workers and others to join us in welcoming her to Ann Arbor. This event is made possible free of charge through a generous grant from the Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor.
