HATW is seeking to renew our Hague Accreditation! The Council on Accreditation (COA), a national accrediting entity designated by the US Department of State to provide Hague Accreditation and Approval, invites the public to provide comment on intercountry adoption service providers seeking Hague Accreditation, Approval or Renewal. 2017 Teen Adoptee Group

Our first 6-week cycle of 2017 is quickly approaching! HATW Teen Adoptee Group (TAG) will meet TUESDAYS from 6-7:30pm starting February 21st.  This group is open to any teen adoptee between the ages of 11-15.

A Heartfelt Goodbye

Kathleen Nelson, founder & executive director of Hands Across The Water since 1999 will be retiring November 30, 2016. Kathi has been instrumental in helping to create so many families throughout the past 17 years. Her belief that every child deserves a family was the driving force of the agency and her passion for creating families through adoption inspired so many of us. She will be missed!
